Contemporary Abstracts

"When I'm painting I rely on instinct to guide me.  I've learned that intention is valuable, yet when I follow my intuition, I find the process and the results to be more satisfying.  I work primarily with acrylics, soft pastels and decoupage.  My work contains several layers, creating a dimensional effect reflecting my love of texture.  I paint for the sake of the creative process, trusting in it and hoping that my finished work reflects the joy that I find in that process."
