Nicole grew up in the studio. As the daughter of an accomplished sculptor, she was immersed from childhood in figurative bronzes and walls of massive abstract paintings. That environment didn't just expose her to art; it wove art into the fabric of who she is today.

Her work is non-representational and texture-driven, built to spark something in the viewer without explaining itself. Contemporary in line and composition, warm in palette, and layered in ways you can feel as much as see.

Over the years Nicole built a serious presence in the regional arts community. She earned first place at the Celebrate Wildwood Art Festival in Missouri, took first place and honorable mention through the National Arts Program with the Lincoln Arts Council, and was selected as one of five judges for the Lincoln Arts Festival, a recognition of the respect she had earned among her peers. She was also chosen as a CSArt participating artist through the Lincoln Arts Council, has shown regularly at galleries and festivals throughout Nebraska and beyond, and completed a corporate commission for Union Bank and Trust's Wealth Management Division in Lincoln.

From 2017 to 2019 she served as a founding studio artist at Chapin Studios and Gallery in downtown Lincoln, where she also worked as an art consultant, co-curator, and handled marketing, social media, and web. In 2018 she gave a studio talk and open discussion on painting techniques through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Nebraska. She has led workshops in abstract painting at St. Mark's on Campus and most recently at the Trespali Art Retreat at Mahoney State Park in 2024 and 2025.

In 2016 she left her position with the City of Lincoln Law Department to pursue art full-time, a decision that reflected not a finish line but a commitment to the work, the process, and the life she was already living. She continues to create, show, teach, and collaborate from her home studio in Lincoln, Nebraska.
